San Ramon Residence
A warm, modern home designed for family life—without the fuss.
Like many homes, this one had evolved over time with a collection of inherited furniture and pieces acquired over the years. The homeowner loved clean lines and contemporary design but felt surrounded by furnishings that no longer reflected her style or the way her family lived.
Through carefully selected furnishings, lighting, and thoughtful styling, the home took on an entirely new personality. A sculptural walnut dining table with a painted glass top became the centerpiece of the dining room, introducing warmth and modernity while remaining durable enough for everyday family life. In the living room, a generous sectional, layered textures, and a restrained palette created a welcoming space designed for conversation, relaxing, and gathering with family and friends.
One of my favorite transformations happened beneath the staircase. What had been an improvised storage area became an integrated bar that feels intentional—proof that even overlooked spaces can become beautiful, functional parts of a home.
The result is a home that feels lighter, calmer, and unmistakably theirs—proof that thoughtful design isn't about adding more, but about creating a home that truly reflects the people who live there.
